While design is supposed to create solution to problems, but these household products are designed to create problems.
Years ago, An Athens-based architect Katerina Kamprani has begun to re-imagine everyday objects started from dish-ware, cutlery, mugs, watering can, boots and other household items. But instead of making them more functional, she made them extremely difficult to use.
The series is called The Uncomfortable, is a collection of deliberately inconvenient everyday products.
Kamprani’s idea is to make the products a bit usable, not completely useless. You have to try very hard to use them. You could be annoyed, but most of us would laugh on the humour they bring.
Let’s check them out. I love the yellow rain boots! How about you? Tell us which one you love most!
